Mark Echard

Co-Owner and Principal Agent

From a young age, Mark worked on his grandfather’s dairy farm milking cows, baling hay, raising calves and operating all types of farm equipment.  This first-hand experience and knowledge of farming, along with his insurance expertise, makes him an authority when it comes to insuring farms.  He graduated from Bridgewater College with a degree in Business Administration.  In 2011, Mark attained the Certified Insurance Counselor designation, which signifies a higher professional level of experience and competence in the insurance industry.  Mark loves all things outdoors, especially hiking and bicycling.

Becky Echard

Co-Owner and Licensed Agent

Becky graduated from James Madison University with degrees in Management Information Systems and Management.  After working in banking and the computer industry, she started her insurance career when Jim and Mark needed a file clerk many years ago.  Becky also obtained the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2011.  When she is not working she is the piano accompanist for various school and community choirs.  Becky loves to travel, and gamely tries to keep up with Mark in his hiking and bicycling adventures. Spending time with her family around a bonfire is one of her favorite pastimes.

Andrew Echard

Licensed Agent

Andrew attended Bridgewater College.  He started working for Echard Insurance Agency during college, and was essential in implementing the agency’s conversion to a digital documentation system in 2014.  Through this process, he became familiar with insurance documentation and procedure, and decided to follow his father and grandfather in the business, obtaining his Property and Casualty license in 2017.  Andrew divides his time between Harrisonburg and working remotely in Richmond.  He is an avid golfer, huge sports fan and enjoys traveling the world.

Kayla Echard

Licensed Agent

Kayla started working part time at Echard Insurance Agency in 2016, while attending James Madison University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. She graduated Cum Laude in May of 2018 and began working full time for the agency as a licensed Property and Casualty Agent. Kayla grew up in Richmond, Virginia, but has always been familiar with the Rockingham area through frequent family visits with her father, Mark’s brother, who was raised in Rockingham County.  Kayla resides in Waynesboro, where she enjoys working out, puzzles and spending time with friends and family.

Lisa Coffelt

Licensed Customer Service Representative

Lisa has worked in numerous Rockingham Insurance agencies since 1986, joining agent Steve Mongold in the Broadway office in 1996.  In addition to her insurance career, Lisa serves two country churches in Shenandoah County as lay pastor.  She enjoys visiting historical sites in Virginia, working in her flower gardens, and experiencing the splendor of God’s Creation.  Lisa was raised in the Quicksburg/New Market area and currently lives in Edinburg with her husband and daughter.
