Echard Insurance Agency, Inc is a property and casualty insurance agency that has been operating in the Harrisonburg, Virginia, region for almost fifty years. Our family is here to serve your family.
Jim Echard began insuring valley residents in 1970. His son, Mark, joined the agency in 1983 while attending Bridgewater College. In 1996, Mark and his wife, Becky, assumed agency ownership. Mark is very familiar with the Shenandoah Valley, having lived here all his life. Mark and Becky’s son, Andrew, started helping in 2014 while attending Bridgewater College, and his niece, Kayla, joined the team in 2015. Andrew and Kayla obtained their property and casualty insurance licenses in January 2017.
In 2021, Echard Insurance Agency acquired the Rockingham Insurance office in Broadway, Virginia, along with the services of Lisa Coffelt, who has been a part of the agency since 1995.
Our goal is to provide our clients with the highest level of service by identifying their specific insurance needs and finding the best products to satisfy them. Most insurance coverage is placed through
Rockingham Insurance, a local mutual insurance company in operation for the benefit of policyholders, based in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
